SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Corporate IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist will be the first point of contact fielding helpdesk requests submitted by employees. This role will interact with employees providing technical support, troubleshooting issues reported by employees and onboarding/offboarding users. The IT Support Specialist will provide high-quality customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Tier one (1) and Tier two (2) software and hardware support
Use a ticket tracking system to log end user information and description of the issue
Use a ticket tracking system to log troubleshooting actions, equipment requests, and issue resolutions
Escalate problems to Tier two (2) and Tier three (3) technical support
Communicate with the end users regarding the status of the issue resolution
Administration of Active Directory users, computers, and servers
Develop and document department procedures as needed
Network Traffic monitoring and analysis of switches, routers, wireless access points
Analyze and Respond to Endpoint Security Alerts
Test and Deploy software updates for computer and network equipment
Recommend replacement hardware for aging computer and network systems
Other responsibility, as assigned
Requirements
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong project management and organizational skills in which attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects on time is essential.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to navigate organizations to build relationships and garner support; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication skills and situational adaptability; capable of clearly conveying Pretzilla standards.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgement.
Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work off-hour and weekend to provide support to operations team, as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required
One (1) or more years of experience installing computer hardware and software to include personal computers, printers, and peripherals in both a network and standalone environment
One (1) or more years of experience installing and troubleshooting clients in a Microsoft networking environment
One (1) or more years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and supporting desktop applications and operating systems including Windows OS, Office, Outlook, and various internet browsers.
Preferred
Advanced education or certification in computer science, information technology, or related field
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, food industry a plus
Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems
Previous experience in an Azure environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as a manufacturing plant with varying temperatures. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing in environments with varied temperatures. This position requires occasional pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
