This is an exciting opportunity for a Jr. lighting designer, working out of our Milwaukee office to be a part of an innovative, collaborative group coordinating lighting projects throughout the country.
Qualifications:
HGA is an award winning, interdisciplinary design firm with architects, engineers, planners, lighting designers, landscape architects, and interior designers working together to create holistic designs for healthcare, the arts, community, education, corporations, government and district/campus energy clients.

Qualified candidates should be well versed in the art and science of lighting design and must be able to support aesthetically pleasing designs with technically competent analysis.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proven success in contribution to a team-oriented environment and sense of responsibility
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and manage workload to meet project deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as interact effectively with others (including architects, interior designers, and electrical engineers)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, architectural engineering, interior design or related field
- 0-3 years’ experience designing the lighting design for commercial, institutional and healthcare facilities
- Assist team in lighting design in various project types
- Support design projects with exceptional design thinking, project imagery, design research, and project documentation
- Perform lighting calculations, layouts, detail design, fixture selection, reports and presentation creations for lighting projects
- Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software).
- Working knowledge of AGI
- Proficiency with Revit
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus
- Experience in Rhino 3D, Sketchup or other 3D visualization programs a plus
